131.9kgs

Well, it's hardly awe-inspiring but it's going in the right direction, huh? I must admit, the weekends are a killer. I know that if I'd moved about more, I would have lost more so maybe this week I'll try harder to get in the pool. My swimming costume hasn't been wet since summer last year.

It's my birthday today. I will be having champagne and anti-pasto apero with a friend. Then I will be having cake when my husband makes it home from work. It's my birthday, if I can't enjoy guilt-free cake and champagne on my birthday, when can I?

I discovered a very helpful trick awhile ago. I was getting ready for a medical test, and had to eat nothing for a day, but instead had to drink 8-16 oz clear fluid each hour. I was PANICKED that I'd be starving, but it turns out if you drink that much fluid, you don't feel hungry. I drank a lot of natural chicken broth, and it tasted like food and filled me up. A miracle!

Thanks for the tip, Jadie. I try to drink loads of water in the day but it's hard in Swiss Winters. I'll catch up again now that we're warming up for Summer.

The chicken broth is a good idea. I'll have to see what I can do.

I only just stumbled across your blog, and I find it very comforting to see that I am not the only person continually battling with my scales - even if it is often only a half-hearted battle!!! If its any consolation (and I didn't have the birthday excuse) I went the whole kaboudle on clafoutis, delicious Tunisian dishes dripping in fat and various other forms of calories in disguise - and probably a glass too many delicious red wine this weekend. but it was SOOO yummy and therefore very much worth it!! Today am going to blitz the garden for an hour with my daughter (called Abigail incidentally - I note you have one in your life too!!) just to try and work off some of the potential flab! I like your blog, and have hyperlinked it because I intend to come back - lots!!!
